These easy baked sweet potato fries get their burst of heat from a blend of cayenne and chili powder, and their extra touch of sweetness from (what else?) KNOW Better Sweetener. Like ‘em spicier? Saltier? Sweeter? Add more cayenne, Sweetener or salt to your taste. However you season them, these fries make a great side dish for homemade turkey burgers or shrimp burgers, or just served on their own as a snack with KNOW Better Ketchup.
2 sweet potatoes, peeled and sliced into 1/4-inch-thick matchsticks
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil, plus more for the baking sheet
2 teaspoons KNOW Better Sweetener
2 teaspoons ground cayenne
1 teaspoon sea salt
1/4 teaspoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon cumin
Heat oven to 450 degrees. Grease a rimmed baking sheet with olive oil or line the bottom of the baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
In a medium bowl, combine the sweet potatoes and olive oil and toss to coat. Add the remaining ingredients and toss to coat. Spread the fries out in an even layer on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake until the fries have reached your preferred level of crispness (I like mine on the crisper side), about 15 minutes. Serve hot.
